Intermediate Taiji Class View Snapshot

In this class, we will practice the first of the three Taiji two-person exercises, Tui Shou (Push Hands), the second step (after the solo form) on the path to Taiji mastery. Its purpose is to learn the sole "technique" of Taiji, Ti Fang: "Attract into emptiness, join, discharge." We will also use the principles of Tui Shou to improve our form. To qualify for this class, students must already have learned a complete Taiji solo form.

Yoga From the Heart View Snapshot

Join us for a gentle yoga class specifically designed with the heart patient in mind.  We will explore ways to manage the physical, emotional and spiritual stress that follows a cardiac event or a diagnosis of heart disease.  We will learn modified yoga postures (using chairs and props for support), simple sequencing as well as restorative yoga postures.  We will explore breath work, relaxation and meditation as ways to support your cardiovascular health and manage your stress.  Mats and props will be provided.  Wear comfortable clothes, bring water and a sweatshirt/sweater.

Designed for students in grades 4-6 with important safety training that will help them be prepared to stay home alone. Students will learn how to practice safe habits, handle common household emergencies, and who should treat illnesses and emergencies. Completing the program does not mean that a student is ready to stay home alone. Only the student's parents can make the decision, based on the age, maturity, skills, and experience and confidence level of their child.
