Emergency Preparedness Tips for Seniors

Preparedness is a shared responsibility; it calls for the involvement of everyone - not just the government. By creating individual, family and household emergency plans, seniors can stay safe when struck by a hazard or emergency. Staff from the Department of Homeland Security will review practical steps  you can take to be better prepared for an emergency. Topics such as communication plans, state and county emergency alerts, emergency kits, and pet preparedness will be covered.
